I ran this white cardstock through an embossing folder. Chalked the flowers and leaves and used Pearl Pens for the center of the flowers. I die cut the "hello" three times each and layered them on top of each other (My Creative Time). Added Wink of Stella on the "hello". When I first made these I was adding bling to the flower centers but it was very time consuming and the pearl pens looked much better. Thanks for popping by. Have a wonderful day! diannemickeydeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14246405675741780214noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2742215256905540479.post-63857418193789988052014-10-11T22:12:00.001-07:002014-10-11T22:19:49.892-07:00Lawn Fawn and Sizzix
I needed a get well card for friend and I came up with this. The stamps with matching dies are from Lawn Fawn, Get well soon. The card die is from Sizzix. triple circle flip its. The matching dies help me out because I have a hard time fussy cutting because my meds make my hands shake. Being able to die cut around the image works for me My hubby took the pic for me. Thank you for stopping by! .......dianne
A little update. When I went for chemo a week and half ago, the dr. noticed something wasn't quite right with me. I had a stroke. I went straight for an MRI and was admitted to the emergency room. I was really confused and still am a little bit. We have to make some decisions. I chose no brain surgery, but said I would have radiation on my brain again. Ten rounds but that is the last step in radiation. My hair just started to grow back and it's all going to fall out again. Not sure if I will be on the chemo IV anymore, but definitely won't take any more chemo pills. One of the other choices was to stop all chemo and get put on hospice and may have 6 months to live. I told my family I will do what I can but when I will know when it's enough. I have five little grandsons to watch grow.
Now onto the crafting part............There has been 3 times when I thought my time had come. What brought me out of it and gave me hope and joy? Being able to make cards again and enjoy my time here.Instead of just laying here, I found creating so important for my days and mailing people cards that made them happy. I love creating! Thank you for all of your thoughts, and prayers and support.
sending thankful thoughts
He wasn't home when I posted this so I had to be inventive to take a pic of this card. I propped my pillow up on my open laptop and it sort of worked!
Update: I woke up one morning and I could hardly hear. My hubby had to face me when he talked so I could try to read his lips. A few different Dr. appointments later and I had to have tubes put in my ears (am I 5? ) My grandsons had that done, but they were 5). I can hear better now. My grandsons had to go to the hospital and have it done. I just had a regular appointment at the Dr's office. It took about 10 minutes. I definitely understand why they have to go under anesthesia because it is so loud when they are working in your ear, a little one would never be able to lay still. I used products from My Creative Time and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The folder has large hearts all over it, but most of it is hidden by the layers. The photo looks like the card is bowed out of shape, but, the card is flat in person. I probably won't use my pillow as a background any more! tfl......................dianne
On Monday I saw an ear specialist about my hearing, or lack of hearing! I have fluid behind my eardrums. My hearing has improved but not completely. If it doesn't improve I may have to have tubes put in my ears. Oh, my grandsons are going to get a kick out of that! They had to get tubes when they were little and probably didn't think that was for old people!
Tuesday I had chemo and Wednesday I had an MRI. Dr. is checking to see if the Tycurb pills are helping the cancer in my brain or not. Thank you for your prayers, they are giving me so much comfort.
I started on the Tycurb two weeks ago. I had to take a two day break from it. It was making me so sick. The radiation on my brain has some interesting side effects. My teeth got loose and one of my crowns fell out. I woke up one morning and could barely hear. My hubby had to face me when he talked because I couldn't hear what he was saying. Most of my hair is gone now, I had to bring out the beenies.
One day at a time
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
I will start Thursday by having a mask formed to protect my face and several other procedures to prepare my head for the radiation. I thought they were just going to zap the two tumors but they are doing my entire brain. I will have treatments everyday for 10 days. I am going to lose all of my hair again. After the radiation there is a drug they want to put me on. If it is anything like the zoloda drug I was on before I won't take it. I stopped taking it because I was so miserable on it that I chose quality of life over quantity. Thanks for sticking with me all these years and for all of your prayers.....hugs......dianne
The CT scan results and the MRI results were in. The cancer had spread into my right shoulder bone, and they also found two spots in my brain. I now have it in my hip bone, liver, lung, spinal cord, shoulder bone and brain. Surprisingly the only part that hurts is my legs and feet. They have been in constant pain for 2 years. It is from the spinal cord surgery. This was what I have dreaded during this ten year cancer roller coaster I have been on. I go to the radiation dr. tomorrow. Not sure how many treatments I have to have. The first time I had radiation for breast cancer I had to go 5 days a week at the exact same time for 25 treatments. The time I went for the cancer in my spinal cord it was only 5 days in one week.
When I was feeling better after the first cancer journey, I told myself I better scrapbook my little grandsons to leave them with something to show them how much I loved them. They were 2 years old, 8 months old, and 6 weeks old. I did a few pages. The cancer came back and I said the exact same thing to myself, I would be so mad at myself for not getting it done.......and I didn't. Now we're are at strike 3. I think it would be disrespectful of me to put it off again. I am going to dive into it and get these memories down for our now........5 grandsons.
I'm not sure how much I will post here, or how often. I just know that I have to do this while I can and before the cancer in my brain spreads. I won't post my scrapbook layouts because I am not very good at it.
Enjoy your creativity and share it with others. you will both be blessed
Thank you for your support and the comments you have left on my blog in the past, it means a lot
hugs
