Punched petals.

I CASED this card from my local stamp store. I changed the design a bit, and used different colors. The flower petals are made by using these two punches. The inside of the petals are vellum. A little tedious to make, but, it was fun to get a card done. I haven't gotten any cards done since the holidays.

Soup can challenge

This weeks BBTB challenge was to alter a soup can and use either of the two Cricut Christmas cartridges on it. I used the Joys of The Season cartridge and cut snowflakes. I attached the snowflakes to small York Peppermint Patties that are in the can............problem is................with the clear cello bag and the bow, you can't see the candy!

Cricut snowman.

I taught this card at a Saturday craft day at church. The snowman is from the Cricut Christmas Cheer cartridge. I used the Cuttlebug snowflake folder for the embossed snowflakes and a Sizzix die for the mittens. I LOVE my Cricut!!!!

Card # 2

I finished card #2 for the card class. I thought this stamp was so cute, and had to use it before Christmas! I stamped out two images so that I could cut the candy cane out separately and "pop" it up with mounting tape. The hat has fun flock on the brim but, it doesn't show in the pic.

Taking a break.

I needed to take a break from making Christmas gifts to that I could get the cards designed and the kits made up for the card class at church this week. I made this card up today.....one down...one to go! Now, to make up all the kits!

I used the Cuttlebug for the embossed snowflakes on the white cardstock, and two Martha Stewart punches. The border punch for under the snowmen, and her snowflake punch. I punched the snowflake out of glittery cardstock. I used the Snow Writer from Michaels under the snowmen. It isn't in the stamping section of the store, it is stocked with the Christmas decorations.

Making gifts!

I've been busy making Christmas gifts and haven't gotten any stamping done lately. I have several scarves made and now I am working on these CD, hinged tins. I have more to make, but, I'm making progress on my list! The top pic is the front of the tin, and the bottom pic is what's inside! (got the idea from my friend Liz........Thanks Liz!)

Here is this weeks challenge. We used the inchbag on the Tags Bags and Boxes cartridge. I used stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms, and filled it with pumpkin seeds.

BBTB box challenge.

This weeks challenge was to make a box out of the Tags Bags and Boxes cartridge. We used the bottom part of the matchbox, but cut the lid 1/4 inch larger instead of using the regular shaped matchbox lid. So, now I have a Christmas box ready. All I need to do is buy a gift to put inside!

CRISS CROSS CARD

This is the other card I taught at the card class at church. It is my first Criss Cross card. Three things I learned while cutting out ALL those kits.....

1. You need to pay attention when cutting these out of Bazzill cardstock because the textured side needs to be cut according to the textured vs. the smooth side.

2. Buying paper that has words on it and can only but cut ONE direction means you have to pay attention when cutting.

3. Buying striped paper, and wanting the striped to go horizontally and NOT vertically, means that you have to pay attention when cutting!

It would have been really nice if I could have found double sided paper that I liked! Would have made the cutting much easier!

THANKSGIVING LEAVES

This is one of the Thanksgiving cards that I taught at the card class at church. It was fun to use colored embossing powder again. I haven't use any for quite awhile and these colors work great for fall leaves.

This weeks BBTB challenge card

Woo Hoo! After several hours and a few handfuls of M & M's I think I finally set this up and loaded a photo!
