All hearts come home for Christmas

This weeks challenge was the tree on the Tags Bags and Boxes cartridge. I added a top layer to the tree so that I could run it through my Cuttlebug with the swirls folder, added some Martha Stewart snow glitter (again), and some rhinestone bling. Martha Stewart snowflake punch and the Sizzix heart die. I couldn't get a good photo of this one.............the acetate and the shred inside kept catching a glare. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and now it's time to put up the tree!

Card Class #2

I guess I shouldn't call this card class in December because I realized that we aren't making any cards! The design on the left was found on Two Peas site. It's a gift card holder. The red flowers are found in a tin in the bridal section of Michaels. I had to use gold Stickles for the center because they ripped when I tried to add a brad to the center . I also wanted to try a sour cream container. I hadn't made any yet, and decided to give it a whirl. My sweet friend, Regina has some darling, downloadables on her new site, and I used THE STOCKINGS WERE HUNG circle from her site. Check out her site, you will find some fun things to play with there!

Card Class #1

These are two of the four items we will be making in card class in December. I love the Martha Stewart Snow Glitter and had to use it again on this tag. I added some Stickles to the penguin's hat, and to the reinforcement on the hole in the tag. Those things sure come in handy when you don't have the correct sized eyelet :)
The pillow box is cut out with a Biz die from Stampin Up. I wanted a silver ring for the snowflake and used some Avery office type tags and covered up the hole with a punched circle of patterned paper. Filled it with Hershey kisses, YUM!

Snow glitter tree.

The challenge for the week was the tree cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. We were to make it look "Christmasy". I used the Martha Stewart border punch with gold cardstock. I Cuttlebugged the white cardstock with the dot folder, (it reminded me of snow falling). Added some gold ink to the tree and Martha Stewart snow glitter to the tree and the snow mound. I think I am really going to like playing with this stuff! I played with a few different glues for the snow glitter and found that an old standby worked just fine.......Aleene's Tacky Glue. I like the course texture of this snow glitter and can't wait to play with it again!

Happy Fall

Simple, simple, simple card for card class. But, I did finally remember to drag out my Fastenator and use it to attach the leaf to the card. I'm not sure why I never think to use that thing! Maybe because the staples have a tendency to go on crooked!

Pumpkins

The second card that I will be teaching tomorrow. Once again, I used a Whippersnapper stamp! A little metal leaf brad, some stickles on the stars (which don't show well in this pic) and some skittles. Can you beleive I ran out of the brown cardstock when I was making up the kits and I need ONE more sheet. I have to drive to the scrapbook store for ONE piece of cardstock! I better buy some extra things while I am in there to make up for the price of gas, don't ya think? (grin)

JOY

This weeks challenge was to use a Doodlebat or Font from the Scrapnfonts website.........http://www.scrapnfonts.com/ They were so generous and gave us some fonts and dingbats to play with. I used two of the snowflakes as a border and the Joy tag from the Tis The Season set. This adds a whole new dimension in cardmaking! Love it! The girls on the team did some fun things with this challenge, go take a peek.
