Surgery
I am having sugery this Friday, December 9th. The surgery is risky, but, there really isn't an option. I can possibly be paralyzed from the surgery, but, if I don't do it, the tumor will grow and I will be paralyzed anyway. I want to thank everyone for their sweet thoughts and their prayers. It means the world to me.

Another update
Well, I finally have a diagnosis. I have a tumor in my spinal cord. Not good. My hubby cleared out half of my stamp room and put it all into another room, so, now my wheelchair fits into my stamp room. I hope to get it organized and get back to stamping before the surgery. The surgery is risky, so, I hope to get a few things made before then.

Another Update
Well, now I cannot walk at all. I have had my second spinal tap, but still no diagnosis. I am stuck in bed. I hope to get my legs back and get back into my stamp room, until then, I just wait to figure out what this is.

Update
I can't get into my stamp room to create. I am dying to get in there and have some fun. I had a spinal tap on Friday and am worse. I am having problems walking and since it has been over four months, I am SO ready to get a diagnosis and fix this! I can't wait to make cards and start posting again.

Butterfly catching
Have you ever had one of those cards that would just not coooperate? This was one of them! This gatefold card was going along ok, until I inked the edges with purple....whoa....way too much purple. Now what to do? I was too lazy to stamp and color the image all over again, so, I just added bling on top of it. Oh well, moving on to the next card (and keeping the purple ink away from it!). This little girl stamp is from My Favorite Things, and butterflies are a punch from Martha Stewart. The inside of this card looks better than the outside, I should have taken the pic of the inside instead!....tfl...d

Purple teacup
This tea cup stamp is an Alesa Baker Designs stamp. The card looks bluish, but it is purple. I dug out my radiant pearls from years ago and painted the tea cup, after it was embossed in silver. I did some paper piecing on the front of the tea cup. One more stamp from the bag done.........a few more to go~!

An apron or a purse?
My local stamp store gave me a bag of stamps to make samples with. I must say, it is an intersting assortment, not exactly my style. This stamp looked like an apron, but, it is a purse. I masked off that extra flower that is swirling up from the top, and it helped me to like it a bit better. I added some Stickles to jazz it up. This batch of stamps is going to be a challenge for me! So, here is the first sample card.

Graduation boy card
This little guy was made with a stamp from Stamping Fools. I cut the letter U from the Cricut Base Camp cartridge with chipboard and patterned paper. The cap, diploma, collar and shoes are popped up. I added some embroidery floss for the tassle and some silver Viva Decor Pear pen for the button on top of the cap. (I didn't have a brad anywhere near small enough, so the Pearl pen worked out so much easier). I added some chalk to the word...grad.... to make it stand out a bit more. On the inside, I added some white cardstock with a border punched bottom edge and I cut out another of the grad caps and adhered it to the top corner. I tried to keep it "boyish" without ribbon or bling, which is hard to do because I LOVE my ribbon! tfl....d

Little hummingbird
We have had so many hummingbirds in our yard lately (or maybe it is just one who keeps coming back! ). They are so amazing to watch. This little one is a Whippersnaper stamp. I used this hummingbird on the card below this post, and added it on top of the flowers. For this card, I simply colored it with my Copics. I used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen for the little pearl dots on the photo corners. Flower Soft is in the center of the flowers to add a little dimension. I hope you are all having a wonderful day. tfl....d

This card is made with an Outlines stamp. It is so busy, but, large enough to fill an entire card. I think I used most of my supplies on this one! I used a brad with Stickles on top, Flower Soft, paper piecing, colored pencils, chalk, Copics, Viva Pearl pen, Atyou Spica pens, Glossy Accents, corner punch and a button! The hummingbird and the sentiment are Whippersnapper stamps. Whew! Now to clean all of that mess off of my desk! tfl....d

This dragonfly is stamped on Vellum and then painted with Twinkling H2O's. I am trying to use product and supplies that haven't been played with for awhile. Organizing-Over the top
So, my idea to keep track of my paper stacks is probably a bit over the top. It is all stacked on top of each other and I forget what I have. I put similar themes together, and then punched a square of white cardstock, scored it in half, ran it through my Xyron, and labled it (with a label maker because I don't like my handwriting) and attached it to the corner of each stack. Now I can see the maker and the name of the stack. Maybe a bit over the top, but, that's how I roll!!! I really should spend more time creating and less time trying to organize (grin)

Spring time
This Spring card was made with three different sets from the Cutting Cafe'. The word, Spring, was already colored in (how easy is that?). It also comes without the pre-coloring, so, that you can color it yourself, but, it was so easy to just print it and assemble the card. The word, Spring, is from the...Spring Title set. The Spring time tag is from the One Spring day set, and the tiny tag is from the Spring Time Words set. There are so many fun things on each of these three sets, it is hard to choose which ones to use! You can find all of these printable sets, here:

Ewe go girl
This dome card was made with a Whippersnapper stamp and a dome card chipboard kit from Globecraft Memories. You get the dome and the chipboard ovals in the kit and then you paint them or cover them in paper. I painted the backs black and covered the fronts with patterned paper. You could put so many fun things in this easel dome card. The back is a chipboard easel piece so this will stand up. I found a little cow bell in my stash and added it to the bow. tfl....d

Layering some flowers
Just a bit of layering of flowers, and one sentiment stamp. The flower stamps are made by Outlines and the sentiment is Whippersnapper. My local stamp store had several of these flower stamps in the clearance bin. I thought they would be a fun stamp to cut out and layer, so, I had to take both sizes! tfl....d

Uh....plan B?
I planned on making a boy/girl card with this onesie and the little overalls. The onesie was going to be pink and the overalls were going to be blue. But then, I saw this cute, denim, embossed paper. To get the three squares, I had to make a long, legal sized card. Then, I needed to add the Tim Holtz rosette die, and suddenly, it became a boy card with patriotic looking paper. Not sure how it happened, but it just sort of took on a life of its own and became a totally different card than the original plan.

It's a shower
This little Whippersnapper stamp reminds me of a baby shower invitation. I used a PapertreyInk ric rac border die to match the little ric rac border on the umbrella and for the purple ric rac border on the side, I used an EK Success border punch.
A bit of Stickles and some buttons.

It's a lizard!
I chose this Whippersnapper lizard stamp to play with..............have no idea why! I really could not decide what to do with it. Should I make it for a male, or bling it up and try to make it for a friend, or try to keep it generic? I decided to make it a bit more generic, but, did add a bow. This is acutally a tent card, but, that doesn't show in the pic. I ran the solid green cardstock through my Cuttlebug using an embossing folder that looks like it could be for a reptile. A bit of Glossy Accents on the spots and Spica glitter pen for the purple eyelids. This one was a challenge! tfl.....d
